TAROTSCOPES | OCTOBER 14 - OCTOBER 20

VI OF CUPS

The circle of life is a wild array of spinning spheres. Atoms vibrating up against each other. Planets orbiting stars. Seasons marking long moments and the Sun’s rise and setting sealing shorter ones. Everywhere around us disks turn, severing and connecting us in varying degrees of separation.

We cannot escape the web of links across time and space. The Six of Cups indicates heightened attention on relationships, loved and lost. Sisters and brothers, parents and children, friends and foes, lovers and acquaintances; each with their own karma, somehow interwoven along the stitches of our own spells.

This week, as Mercury threads his way through early retrograde pre-shadow, we begin to spin a story we will later look back on. Mercury in Scorpio will often ask us to go deeper than we would in most territory. Thus, we can find ourselves digging holes in the past that would be otherwise left unregarded.

The Six of Cups can be about learning how to share. How to see from another side. How to have compassion for an experience that isn’t our own. How to reckon with not being the center of a story, but being part of the point.

We have a tendency, of course, to make ourselves the center of our universe/s. The Six of Cups serves as a reminder that we are each a series of spinning disks. We are our own revolutionaries. And we are resounding and reverberating with one another always. When we land in the same time and space at the same frequency, we resonate.

This week, consider the current or previous but ever-unfolding experiences that surface in your foreground. Appreciate your place in the cosmic order of things. Allow the insight that everything up to and beyond this point is subjective but look for a peek into another’s cup. Notice how you are different and how you are similar. How we are one and we are many. How you are wrong and you are right. Don’t expect to untangle everything or even to find a solution. Let your tethered tales be unfinished. Let them run parallel, wind wildly, and veer off course if they will. Let yourself find sweetness in what another sees. Even if it means looking at yourself plainly or with dislike. Where you can witness through another’s view, you can hold yourself accountable. You can also forgive.

WHAT EVEN IS A TAROTSCOPE? We often think of horoscopes as predictions that are specific to each astrological sign. In Ancient Greek, the term horoscope simply means "I watch the hour." To astrologers today, a horoscope is a chart that maps the planetary bodies in the sky. From this chart, we derive meaning that can influence how we work with energy. Regardless of our unique individual charts, we are ALL working with the same energy from above. Each week, I examine this energy, pull a tarot card and write a guided meditation with the collective in mind. My tarotscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. Please note that because we are all operating with our individual energy, some elements will resonate more than others. Take what you like and leave the rest. Tarotscopes are offered freely in an effort to cultivate collective healing. I am always grateful for your support in sharing this work with anyone you think it might help. If you are inspired or find support here, please consider making a donation to help sustain these weekly offerings.
